Christmas Cupcakes: Eggnog and Dark Chocolate Peppermint | Mrs. G's Appliance Chef

For Small Business Saturday this year, I made some festive holiday cupcakes in two flavors that represent the Christmas holiday for a lot of people: eggnog and peppermint. I brought back my fondant supplies for the branded toppings from the ribbon-cutting cupcakes to make yellow “Mrs. G” and white “Shop Small” toppers. Both cupcakes are pretty standard; it’s always the icing that makes them pop! There’s still enough time for you to make these for your holiday function. Just pop them in the freezer and then ice on the day you serve them. And maybe leave 2 for Santa instead of cookies? Read More

I have a festive dessert that takes minimal preparation and only a few minutes on the grill for ooey, gooey, yummy results. Below are steps to make Grilled Stuffed Marshmallow Ice Cream Cones. Follow the visual step-by-step guide under the recipe to see the cones on the grill. Enjoy!  Read More

Below are a couple of my favorite recipes. In our house, Jambalaya and King Cake are not just for Mardi Gras. I met my wonderful husband on New Years Eve 1997 in New Orleans, and yes, I knew from the first kiss at midnight that I had found the love of my life. So, we always celebrate our wedding anniversary and New Year’s with some New Orleans traditions. Next week Preston and I celebrate our 14th wedding anniversary, and will enjoy a dinner of Jambalaya and King Cake. Cheers!  Read More

The recipes below were prepared with Miele products. The cooked items were prepared on the Induction Cooktop. Induction cooking means that heat will only transfer to the cooking vessel and not other surfaces. Meaning, if you place your hand on the cooktop surface while it is on, you won’t get burned! Induction cooking is also faster, which means a shorter prep time for your meal.  Read More
